The Professional Medical Assistant course teaches students how to prepare patients for medical tests, perform blood draws, take vital signs of patients, and handle other medical duties in hospitals, clinics, and healthcare facilities. The curriculum includes office skills, MA clinical procedures, medical terminology, medical billing, MA clinical fundamentals, fundamentals of anatomy and physiology, pharmacology, and electronic health records. In this program, students learn various massage techniques, such as classical massage techniques, soft tissue manipulation, advanced therapeutic techniques, and special populations massage techniques for pregnant women, professional athletes, seniors, etc. Applicants also learn about myology, kinesiology, complementary bodyworks, the touch science, massage therapy hydrotherapy, trigger point therapy, reflexology, and so much more.
