Agricultural Equipment Technician: Students have the opportunity to become an important part of the world’s most in-demand industry through training programs offered by Perry Technical Institute. Students will learn how to utilize GPS technology to increase crop yields and learn how to use advanced electronic control systems, machinery and technology to help grow the already profitable and necessary fields of farming and ranching. Program participants will be prepared with the right technical and mechanical skills and abilities to join the work force with in the field of agriculture. Graduates will be able to effectively assist in agricultural and construction projects. Curriculum material covers topics and objectives including:

Automotive Technology: To succeed in the world of automotive service, students will need to gain familiarity with technology as well as tools. The vehicle industry is moving at a rapid pace, requiring qualified graduates to go to work in the field of automotive technology. Graduates will be able to fully grasp the ins and outs of vehicle assembly lines through instruction and training on complex series steps which ensure automotive efficiency, safety and dependability. Perry Tech offers a one year automotive technology training program in which students will learn operation and theory in classroom and applied practice settings in well-equipped automotive shops. Program graduates will be able to go to work in entry-level positions at independent shops, mobile service stations, fleet service shops, automotive technician dealerships and parts supply houses.

Instrumentation & Industrial Automation Technology: Perry Tech’s students will be ready to enter the work force in the in-demand field of instrumental technology as industry technicians through a two-year training program. Students will understand how understand how to install, troubleshoot, monitor, calibrate and repair process controls including flow, temperature, flow and level.

Medical Assistant

Medical Office Administration & Coding: Within the medical sector, there has been a nationwide boom in the need for medical practices have subsequently created an even greater need for those trained in medical billing and coding. Institutions such as hospitals, nursing homes, rehabilitation facilities, consulting firms, insurance companies and rehabilitation centers all rely heavily upon billing and administrative employees to provide the backbone of their practices. Perry Tech helps students quickly and effectively prepare for careers in medical billing and coding. Program objectives include:

Precision Machining & Manufacturing: Perry Tech’s one year training program equips students with the tools necessary to enter the machining trade from a variety of different angles. Students will gain understanding of the principles necessary to apply when working with metals or other materials as they gain skills in manual operation and computerized machinery. Upon completion of the program, students will be able to apply curriculum to the hands-on transformation of computerized engineering technology to working parts.

 

Program objectives include training in: Machining theory, Mathematics Blueprint reading, Drawing Manual machining, Computerized numerical control, 3-D modeling and prototyping and Customer jobs.

 

Welding Technology:

Perry Tech’s one-year training program will prepare students for entry-level jobs as skilled welders. This trade is highly needed the world over. Graduates will be able to apply their skills in a variety of industry niches ranging from custom airplane and automobile manufacturing and commercial construction to ship building and more.

Program topics include: Blueprint reading, CAD drawing, Oxyfuel cutting and welding, Carbon arc cutting and gouging, Shielded metal arc welding, Gas metal arc welding, Flux core arc welding, Gas tungsten arc welding, Pipe welding Fabrication.

 

Perry Tech’s welding technology training program will award graduates certification through: American Welding Society (AWS) and the Washington Association of Building Officials (WABO).
