Enrolment and Financial Aid
Enrolment at the Northwestern Technological Institute is quite easy with a simple, straight-forward process to ensure facilitation of admission of new students into the Program. Since Northwestern Tech offers only one Program, admission to this school is very standard. It begins with the first step: Meeting with an Admissions Advisor. The Admissions Advisor will take you on a personal tour of the campus and its facilities so you can decide if this Institute is the place you want to study at.
Following this, the Admissions Advisor will sit with you and discuss the details and minutia of the program. Then you can complete a pre-application form. Your next step will be to meet with the Financial Aid department where your financial situation will be reviewed and options for financial aid laid before you. The Financial Aid Department will help you consider your options for tuition payment and tell you exactly what’s required for specific types of aid.

Your third and final step will now be to enroll. This is easy. All you need to do is finalize your financial aid, make a plan for success and complete the enrolment form.

Financial Aid may be available in the form of MI Works! Grants, Veteran Benefits, TAA Benefits, Student Loans and Federal Grants. However, financial aid comes with its own set of criteria that students must meet. To apply for a Federal Grant, individuals need to have a GED. Without it, individuals can still be accepted into the program if they do an ATB Test and do not need any sort of financial aid.
