Phlebotomy Technician
The phlebotomy technician program offered at Northcoast Medical Training Academy is designed to provide students with knowledge and experience to perform capably as a skilled phlebotomist. The program blends the basic and advanced skills needed in the field of phlebotomy that are needed to become respected member of today’s health care program. Aside from offering students a traditional classroom background, they also have access direct hands-on laboratory experience to help them become a qualified Phlebotomy Technician.

As a phlebotomy technician, your typical daily activities will include drawing blood for tests, donations, transfusions or research. You may also be required to explain procedures and assist in the recovery of patients who have suffered from an adverse reaction. Other duties may include sterilizing and cleaning equipment, monitoring patient’s respiratory, blood pressure and pulse readings. Storing, labeling and transporting blood samples to laboratories etc.

Medical Assistant Training
The medical assistant program offered at Northcoast Medical Training Academy is designed to provide applicants with thorough knowledge and experience to perform capably in a number of entry-level medical positions. The students receive training in both front office and back-office skills. Front-office skills include ICD-9 billing and coding, record management, CPT insurance and maintaining patient charts while back-office skills include a clinical skills relating to patient care situations.

Students will begin their course by focusing in phlebotomy if they take up the medial assistant program. All students will be trained by qualified and experienced medical health professionals who have had appropriate experience in the given health care field. Typically, a medical assistant’s job including performing clinical and administrative tasks to keep health practitioners running smoothly. You will be required to fill out insurance forms, schedule appointments, take medical histories, handle correspondence, greet patients etc.

Veterinary Assistant
The veterinary assistant diploma program offered by Northcoast Medical Training Academy provides students the opportunity to learn in laboratory and lecture hands-on formats. The program focuses on basic animal care, terminologies used in the veterinary fields, preparation of animal records, histories, charts, assisting in surgical procedures, recording transactions, which may be necessary in a veterinary office.

Massage Therapy Training

Throughout the 14-month course, you will learn about movements within the body, conduct informal interviews with clients to learn about their lifestyle and medical history. Practical Nursing - LPN
