Pharmacy Technician
A growing field, pharmacy technicians are responsible for administration of medications from managing prescriptions to transcribing doctors’ orders to calculating doses and filling IVs. Vocational Nurse
As a Vocational Nurse, you will be able to help patients by assisting Registered Nurses with intake, and other patient care needs. Surgical Technology
If you’re interested in the exciting and complex world of surgery, this program can help you get into a career in the field. Offering hands-on training, North-West College will help you prepare for a career assisting surgeons in a variety of surgical specialties. As a Surgical Technician, you will be responsible for making the operating room sterile and safe for patients, and providing integral services to help doctors and patients alike.
Medical Assistant
Medical Assistants interact hands on with patients on a daily basis. As a Medical Assistant, you will be responsible for preparing patients to see the doctor. You will take blood pressure and other measurements and will perform an intake assessment of the patient by asking questions and preparing the doctor with the answers.
Medical Insurance Biller
In the Medical Insurance Billing program, you will learn how to prepare patient documents to submit to insurance companies for reimbursement. You will assess the charts and transcribe them with the proper medical codes and terminology to facilitate a smooth payment process between the insurance company and the hospital or doctor’s office.
Dental Assistant
At North-West College, you will receive training on becoming a Dental Assistant, and will learn everything you need to know to prepare patients for different dental procedures. You will also assist the dentist during routine procedures such as fillings, root canals, veneers and more. This program will give you the skills needed for a high growth job.
Massage Therapy
While many people think spa when they think of massage therapists, there are many opportunities in the medical field as well. Eyecare Specialist Program
Another growing industry, Eyecare Specialists help patients during intake at ophthalmology and optometry appointments, tracking and maintaining patient records, adjusting glasses, training patients on proper contact lens care and use and a variety of other techniques. Medical Administrative Assistant
Become the person who makes a doctor’s office run efficiently through the Medical Administrative Assistant Program at North-West College. In this program, you will learn how to administer patient records, learn the fundamentals of accounts payable and receivable and gain an understanding of tasks you need to help the front office run smoothly for patients and staff alike.
Paralegal

Applicants do not need a high school diploma. If you do not have a diploma, you can speak with an Admissions Representative to determine your options.
