Student Retention
You are beginning the next step towards moving your career to the cutting edge of cybersecurity. You have selected the only graduate program which enables you to both develop and demonstrate your expertise in applying the NIST Risk Management Framework.

The (ISC)2 Workforce Study reports that over 150,000 new cybersecurity jobs will open annually and that Risk Management is the #1 cybersecurity competency. The (ISC)2 study also reports that employers want you to have analytic and communications competencies so that you can effectively implement the NIST RMF.

You can acquire these competencies, expertise and experience, as you work with two leaders in the NIST RMF field—Dr. Comings and Mr. Broad. This session you will study with Dr. Comings who helps DoD to transition from DIACAP to the NIST RMF. He will help you complete your understanding of how to apply
the NIST RMF.

Next you will actually implement the NIST RMF and produce the required deliverables in your practicum/internship under the mentorship of Mr. Broad, the author of your text book. Mr. Broad has supported the implementation of the NIST RMF in the public and private sectors including the FBI, DOT, ODNI and financial services firms.

By working with these two experts, you not only have the opportunity to distinguish yourself in one of the highest demand specialties of cybersecurity but you will also build your professional network to advance your cybersecurity career.
