Programs Availble
L’Ecole Culinaire offers culinary diplomas or degree programs. The school is known for restaurant management, and students learn everything they need to know to successfully run one, from basic cooking techniques to human resource management. A comprehensive education, the programs at L’Ecole Culinaire are designed to cultivate well rounded and skilled restaurant managers who are capable of managing the entire dining experience from the door to the kitchen.
Students will learn everything they need to know about different kinds of cuisine to cooking methods that will help cooks create dishes that are consistently excellent each and every time. They will also learn the business aspect of restaurant management including marketing and promotion to public relations. Once you’ve completed your diploma or degree program, you will have all the skills you need to create a memorable dining experience for all of your customers while effectively managing your staff.
Public Classes
Novice chefs and home cooks can also benefit from the programs at L’Ecole Culinaire, as the school offers public cooking classes that are available to anyone. With classes such as Italian Cuisine, Nutritional Cooking and Chocolate Basics, home cooks of varying appetites and interest levels will enjoy mingling with classmates while learning how to concoct delectable dishes at home. Classes range from $45-$75 and are available at convenient times. Most last between 3 and 4 hours depending on the subject matter. Whether you want to learn to make pasta from scratch or want to gain more knowledge about wine and how to pair it with different dishes, you can find a public class for you. These classes will enable you to make quality meals at home, so try them before date night or use your new found skills to save money on eating out.
Restaurant
To test what you’ve learned in a real world environment, each campus of L’Ecole Culinaire operates its own restaurants. Students who are farther along in the program can apply their skills in a controlled setting, while diners are treated to a first class dining experience with top notch cuisine. Each restaurant has lunch services and dinner services, and they are located in exciting locations so you can make a day of it. At the restaurants, students are supervised by instructors, so you will be sure that your food will come prepared properly and will be delicious. For students, the restaurant experience offers a way in which they can put their new skills to the test in an environment that is not as high pressure and intense as a real world kitchen. Once the program is complete, students will be prepared for an entry level job in restaurant management with all of the skills they need to impress their new employers by working efficiently.
Catering
Some L’Ecole Culinaire locations also offer catering services, which is ideal for events in which you want to save money without sacrificing the quality of the cuisine. Like the restaurant, students working with the catering team are given supervision by instructors, so everything will be prepared correctly. This gives students the opportunity to learn how to manage a restaurant off site such as in a wedding or corporate event situation. Students will learn first-hand how to take a restaurant on the road while remaining consistent with the brand and the dining experience that customers expect when they are at the restaurant. They will also learn how to handle potential setbacks that can occur while catering such as running out of inventory or a certain dish.

Once you’ve decided that you are interested in attending L’Ecole Culinaire, you can set up an appointment with an Admissions Representative. They will speak with you about your interests, your background and career and educational goals and will take you on a tour of the campus to meet with faculty members and to learn your way around the campus. Non-Degree Programs
As with many degree programs, the restaurant industry is an ever evolving one, and in time, you may need to take some new courses to stay current. At L’Ecole Culinaire, alumni are able to reapply for classes that may help them expand their skill set. Students of L’Ecole Culinaire not only have access to the presentation room restaurants and the catering services, they are also given access to the Career Connects database, which includes information on career fairs and potential networking opportunities. The school has a variety of resources available on campus and online which students can take advantage of to better their education and prepare for the next step in their career.
Financial Aid
As an accredited institution, L’Ecole Culinaire students are able to apply for Federal student aid such as subsidized and unsubsidized loans. The school also offers scholarship opportunities for qualified applicants, and the professionals in the financial aid office are familiar with a wide variety of financing options. Culinary Fundamentals
