As a massage therapist you will have extensive knowledge of human anatomy, the muscles of the human body, and the wide variety of conditions that can be adequately addressed with massage techniques. It will be important that you are completely comfortable working with the human body and that you can make your clients completely comfortable during their massage therapy session. You’ll be well trained in determining which massage procedures or techniques will best address the needs of your client. Keep in mind, while many of your clients will come to you for massages strictly for a stress reliever and for a means of relaxation, other clients will be in need of massage for medically related ailments. In order to be successful as a massage therapist you’ll need to be able to answer any questions that your client may have regarding the planned procedure or why that procedure will provide the most benefits.
Graduates of InterCoast College are fully qualified to work as a massage therapist. Many can find employment at: Physical Therapist Offices, Chiropractor Offices, Luxury Resorts, Sports Medicine Clinics and Health Spas.
