The Healthcare Training Institute provides students with the opportunity to learn a variety of skills relevant to today’s growing healthcare field. Originally founded in 1961, the original programs offered were the Medical Assistant Technician, Diagnostic Medical Sonographer, EKG Technician, Phlebotomy Technician, and a combination EKG/Phlebotomy Technician plan.
As the school became more successful, the number of courses offered was increased to meet the demands of the ever-evolving medical field. They aim to continue to be one of New Jersey’s most in-demand trade schools for students pursuing entry-level careers in the medical field.
Each program is supplemented with the necessary computer training to make sure graduates are prepared to work in today’s modern work environments familiar to the healthcare discipline. Learning plans also include a combination of classroom and hands-on lab-based learning. This ensures students have not only the knowledge required to work in the field but the real-world experience needed to perform most procedures.
All classrooms are equipped with the same quality of equipment, technology, and supplies as medical facilities located across the country. Previous graduates who want to refresh their current skills are also welcomed back anytime space permits.
The faculty at HTI all have experience working in the fields they teach, allowing them to accurately inform students about the conditions and requirements for performing the work once they graduate. They aim to prepare graduates to work in the healthcare facilities of tomorrow, as well as to meet the needs of today.
