Golf Academy of America seeks to train its golfers in all arenas of the game, as they work towards earning an Associate’s degree. The well-trained faculty is made up of some of the best PGA of America Professionals. The campuses are located in Dallas, Texas; Myrtle Beach, South Carolina; Orlando, Florida; Phoenix, Arizona; and San Diego, California.


Golf Academy of America is accredited by the Accrediting Council for Independent Colleges and Schools (ACICS) an entity nationally recognized by the United States Department of Education and the Council for Higher Education Accreditation. Additionally, the school is a member of the American Council on Education. ACE is a national group recognized as a leader in higher education issues and concerns. The Golf Academy of America is also a member of the Council for Higher Education (CHEA). CHEA is an institutional board and voice for academic and educational accreditation.


In California, the BPPE, Bureau for Private Postsecondary Education has approved the Golf Academy of America for operations. This endorsement is special, as it comes from a group that specializes in regulating private postsecondary educational facilities in California.

The first semester at the Golf Academy of America can be taken online and 14 months is the standard length of the entire program. The awarded degree for the states California, Arizona, and South Carolina is an Associate of Applied Business and the awarded degree of Florida and Texas is an Occupational Associate’s degree.


Weekly tournaments are held on different courses for the students, you are given unlimited practice buckets, and offered open play at nearby golf courses with your tuition. There are 45 qualified PGA instructors on staff ready to help you with your game, golf management, and general golf education.


Career Services

The schools like to stress that there are many jobs for the field beyond just being a professional golfer. The school boasts of 40 years and 10,000 alumni connections to help place their graduates in appropriate careers. In addition to this expansive network, the school will:

Enrollment Process and Financial Aid

In order to apply for the school of your choice, go to the Golf Academy of America website. You may also complete your financial work at the site. Once you create an account you will be given a password in order to access the site. At that page, different options of funding the school will be given to you. The standard federal financial aid is offered such as FASFA. International applicants will have to provide:


• High school transcript or GED certificate
• Official college transcript if applicable
• 100.00 fee, nonrefundable
• Completed application for Golf Academy of America (needed for M-1 Visa)
• Certification of financial backing
• If English is not the first language, there will also be additional requirement


The Golf Academy of America is honored to help military personnel attend the school of their choice. You can use your service training and educational benefits, such as the Post 9-11 GI Bill, the Montgomery GI Bill, and the active duty tuition Assistance in order to obtain your degree.
