Fortis provides training for qualified applicants who want to better their career opportunities. It does not matter what their previous educational choices or performances were. Career Center
Fortis has a user-friendly Career Center. Through career development, Fortis can assist future graduates with resume writing, cover letter crafting, interview practices, and networking while the student is in his or her last semester. Fortis uses it relationship with communities and states in order to help place their graduates in the best possible career spots.


Enrollment Process and Financial Aid
Students who wish to attend Fortis will meet with an admissions representative. This representative will guide the applicant through the steps of admissions. The student will be given advice on career choices, program requirements, and tuition options. If the student has financial aid needs, the campus financial aid officer will help them through this application process. The Fortis financial aid representative will work with the family and student to determine the financial needs.


The application for admissions can be found online at the school website. There are also links and phone numbers available at the website in case you need assistance with the admissions process.


Fortis has a team who works strictly with military members. This team will help the military member from admissions to the first day of school to make sure he or she is getting the quality education they need. The School has online and on-campus classes which make for a flexible schedule that suits military members. Your military representative will help you with your current studies, overseas studies, and transfer credits. Career Services understands the skills that the military brings to the school and wishes to work with them to identify opportunities they are qualified to take advantage of.


The military benefits are available for the Coast Guard, the National Guard, the Reserves, the Navy, the Marines, the Air Force, the Army, all veterans, and those currently serving in active duty. The school will put together the best package available to benefit the military member, so that they can attend Fortis.


Nursing Program
Within the Nursing program, there are six different degrees. You can obtain your Associate Degree in Nursing, your PN-RN Associate Degree Bridge, your Registered Nurse to Bachelor of Science in Nursing, a Bachelor of Science in Nursing, Practical Nursing, or Vocational Nursing.


Medical Technologist Program
In the Medical Technologist Program, a student can study ten different programs. Those programs are Biotechnology, Emergency Medical Technician, Medical Lab Technician, Sterile Processing Technician, Cardiovascular Technology, EMT-Paramedic, Paramedic, Radiologic Technology, and Surgical Technology.


Dental Program
The Fortis Dental Program offers three different fields of study. If you are interested in the Dental curriculum, you can study Dental Assisting, Expanded Function Dental Assistant, and also Dental Hygiene.


Healthcare/Medical Program
One of the biggest and most popular programs at the school is the Healthcare/Medical study. You could work in one of the eight different arenas offered. The eight courses of study are ECG/Phlebotomy/Lab Assistant, Healthcare Management, Medical Billing and Coding, Medical Office Basic X-Ray Technician, Health Information Technology, Medical Assisting, Medical Office Administration, and Patient Care Technician.


Business/Professional Program
This field is growing, and Fortis wants to give you many opportunities. There are eleven different options of study. You can take:

Information and Technology Program

This fast growing field of study offers nine different programs. Those programs are:
CIS Programming
Computer networking technology
Cyber security and forensics
Microsoft network technology
Personal computer specialist
Graphics and multimedia design

Skilled Trades Program

There are five exciting Skilled Trades programs. Those programs in this fast growing field are Construction Management, Electrical Trades, Welding, Electrical Systems Technician, and HVAC. After taking these programs in our modern facilities, you will be able to sit for the exam certification in order to obtain your license.


Beauty and Wellness Program
If you enjoy working with makeup, hairstyling, and skin this may be just the program for you. The beauty and wellness program has seven exciting classes of study. Those classes of study are Aesthetic Skin Care, Cosmetology, Massage Therapy, Nail Technology, Barber Styling, Cosmetology Education, and Nail and Facial Specialist. Fortis will also help you prepare for the various Cosmetology certification exams that are offered for a license.


Commercial Driving Program
There are two programs at Fortis in the Commercial Driving Division. Both programs in this desirable field will help you to become licensed in driving large machinery and heavy commercial trucks. The two programs are Advanced Tractor Trailer Driving and Class A CDL Driving.
