School Accreditation
Colorado Technical University is accredited by the higher Learning Commission. This independent corporation was founded in 1895 and is recognized by the US Department of Education and the Council on Higher Education Accreditation. The Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering and the Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering at the Colorado Springs Campus are accredited by the Engineering Accreditation Commission of ABET. The business degree programs offered by Colorado Technical University are ACBSP accredited.


Student Admissions
At CTU they will help you through the entire admissions process from finding the right program to going over all of the different ways in which you can pay for everything. They have written blog posts and white papers regarding how to research your program but they also encourage you to view their Facebook page and talk to others regarding the school. Once you are comfortable with the program you’ll want to schedule an interview with a CTU Admissions Representative. They offer a webinar series for your career exploration that allows you to hear from others in the field how they got started. They also offer career planning sessions giving you a step-by-step process into how to set yourself up for success, job search techniques and strategies as well as how to write a successful resume and job networking through social media. Military Friendly School
The transition into civilian life after the military can be a challenging one and the staff at CTU is there to support you every step of the way. Whether you are currently on active duty, a veteran or military spouse, odds are you have military educational benefits that you can use towards pursuing your career goals. You may qualify to transfer some of your military training into a degree program as wll as use additional financial aid benefits to help cover your tuition.


If you are currently on active duty CTU realizes that your hours and commitment will be different while you are deployed. Contact the school for more information regarding how they deal with unexpected deployment. Active Duty, Guard and Reservists can be eligible for a reduced military tuition rate. Also it is recommend you research Chapter 30 Montgomery GI Bill, Chapter 33 Post 9/11 GI Bill, Chapter 1606 Montgomery GI Bill, Chapter 1607 Montgomery GI Bill for Selected Reserve and Chapter 1607. These benefits are earned benefits that most military personnel can use to help pay for their tuition. Contact your local education officer or call CTU today to have them walk you through each benefit and how you can apply for them.
US Veterans have the same earned educational benefits as active duty as well as VEAP – Veterans Educational Assistance Program. If you are a military spouse, be sure to ask about the Military Spouse Career Advancement Accounts Program (MyCAA) and what benefits you could be eligible for.
