Career Services
At the Career Training Academy, they focus on ways to place their students in a career that they love. They will give students the skills and knowledge for their next career. The Career Training Academy has ties with many different employers, and they can put their students in contact with them once they have completed one of the programs at the school.

The staff at the Career Training Academy will place their students with companies that find them desirable. The skills taught here will give students the confidence to move onto a new career.

Programs for Students
Students can take part in one of many career placement programs. The programs offered are:
• Dental Assistant
• Medical Assistant
• Massage Therapist
• NCCT Certification
• Phlebotomy Technician

Enrollment Process and Financial Aid
The Career Training Academy has an admissions team that helps students focus more on their education and career. They will help to take the stress off of the students as they face financial questions on how they will pay for their program. This team will develop a financial plan for the students so that they can get back on the right track.

Students have the options of loans and grants during their time at The Career Training Academy. There are many grants that they can qualify for and will not have to pay back such as:
• PELL Grant
• PHEASS Grant
• SEOG Grant

 

Dental Assistant Program
This is a ten month program to help prepare students for a career as a dental assistant. The key to this program is the hands-on training that students will receive. With interactive classrooms, students will learn the following subjects:
• Dental Anatomy
• Diet and Nutrition
• Preventive Dentistry
• Dental Law and Ethics
• Dental Materials and Lab

The dental assistant program also gives students a chance to work face to face with a local dentist’s office. They will receive on the job training with a two-month externship. They will learn what it feels like to work with patients and other dental assistants.

Massage Therapist Program
When students are interested in healing people in a natural way, massage therapy is a good option. The Career Training Academy helps to teach students how to treat pain and injuries through massage therapy. Students will receive hands-on training with a professional massage therapist in their area. They will receive information on ways to treat pain and be effective as a massage therapist.

There are two programs to choose from in massage at The Career Training Academy. A therapeutic massage technician and an advanced bodyworker are the programs at The Career Training Academy. These programs are about 15 months long, and students will learn the following topics:
• Aromatherapy
• Kinesiology
• Anatomy and Physiology
• Interacting with Clients
• Nutrition
• Stretching
• Myotherapy

Medical Assistant Program
Students can become certified to work as a medical assistant in eight to 15 months. This program involves working with doctors and nurses in a medical practice or a hospital. Students will receive a hands-on classroom that will help them to understand the medical world better. The medical assistant program teaches administrative and clinical skills along with the following topics:
• Patient Care
• Lab Testing
• Sterilizing and Maintaining Equipment
• Medical Office Management

Medical Billing and Coding Program
In the world of medicine, a medical billing professional is a key to helping with patients and insurance. The Career Training Academy can help to get students ready for a career in the medical billing field. This program will teach students the medical terminology that they need to be successful. They will also learn about the following topics:
• Credit
• Collections
• ICD-10
• HIPPA

Day and night classes are available for this degree, and students can choose from an Insurance Claims Examiner position or an advanced medical biller. Both of these subjects will give students the credits that they need to land a position in the medical billing field.

Phlebotomy Technician Program
The phlebotomy technician program teaches students how to draw blood and make sure that it is processed correctly. Day classes and evening classes are both offered, and students can be finished with this program within nine months. Students will learn medical terms and competencies that will direct them to a great career in this field.

There many careers open to students who complete this program such as:
• Certified Phlebotomist
• Patient Services Representative
• Medical Lab Technician
