Earning your Associate of Arts in General Studies is the first step toward gaining the knowledge and skills you need to achieve your professional goals and increase your marketability. The general studies online degree also prepares learners for entry into bachelor's degree programs. The Associate of Arts degree in General Studies requires completion of 60 semester units of coursework which includes 30 units of General Education courses and 30 units of General Studies courses.

Degree Requirements for the AA in General Studies


In order to receive an Associate of Arts in General Studies, students must complete at least 60 semester units to include a minimum of 30 units of General Education requirements, and 30 units of General Studies courses. Occupational opportunities and advancement may require additional work experience and training.
