Medical Insurance, Billing and Coding
Properly billing insurance companies and learning how to code in medical procedures accurately is the main role of a medical insurance, biller and coder. Once completed it is a recommend students sit for the CBCS – Certified Billing and Coding Specialist exam.
Patient Care Technician Program
You’ll get hands-on training at Berkeley College to learn how to correctly take care of patients. Upon graduation you will be eligible to take the CPCT, CHHA, CET n CPT and CPR examinations. You’ll not only be responsible for taking vital signs and collecting specimens but you’ll get trained in electrocardiography and home healthcare.
Practical Nursing Certificate Program
Have you been looking for a local PN program but running into classes that are full or you can’t even get on their waiting list? The Practical Nursing program at Berkeley College will prepare you for the NCLEX-PN license exam. This exam is required for you to become a licensed LPN. If you like helping others, updating medical patient records and overall making the patient feel as comfortable as possible then we feel this would be the perfect program for you.
Surgical Processing Certificate
You’ll learn the knowledge necessary to properly maintain medical tools and devices for hospitals or doctors’ offices. Learn about instruments used by doctors in the operating room as well as how to sterilize things before and during surgeries. Upon complete of the program from Berkeley College you can sit for the CRCST – Certified Registered Central Service Technician exam.
