If you have already earned your diploma as a medical assistant technician then you can enroll in the Associate of Applied Science Degree program offered by Anthem. You will cover topics and take courses in cardiopulmonary, critical thinking, dimensions of human relations as well as anatomy, and laboratory procedures.
In your diploma program you’ll learn about how to operate an ECG and well as how to schedule appointments and measure body temperature. The great thing about this program is it can be taken online. If you are a working adult and find it hard to go to school on a ground campus then this might be the right fit. When you enroll in the AA degree at Anthem you’ll study core courses in computer applications, composition and even psychology. To be eligible you’ll need to have at least one year of experience as a medical assistant or completed an externship when you took your diploma training.
