Massage Therapy Program

American Institute

Do you like helping others? Would you enjoy taking a training program where you’ll use special techniques to assist in easing someone pain or to help them feel more relaxed? If so then the Message Therapy program at American Institute is a great program to begin. Let AI train you in subjects such as anatomy, physiology and pathology. You’ll learn basic Swedish massage techniques including deep tissue to light touch massage. As a massage therapist you’ll be trained so you can apply for work upon graduation at hospitals, private offices, nursing homes, fitness facilities and more.

In the Massage Therapy Program, students gain a fundamental understanding of Anatomy / Physiology and Pathology which is critical in determining when massage is appropriate for a client. Students are nurtured as they develop a solid foundation in a variety of massage styles and techniques including Swedish, Sports, Therapeutic and Shiatsu, as well as administrative aspects of working a variety of environments and working independently. The program from American Institute provides students with the knowledge and skills necessary to be prepared for entry-level employment opportunities in the field of Massage Therapy. This level of education enables graduates to apply for the New Jersey state license and, if they choose to, sit for one of the certification exams offered by the National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork or the Federation of State Massage Therapy Boards. If you want to take a quality massage therapy program then we recommend looking into American Institute. You can schedule a campus tour and learn more about your financial aid options.
