Physical Therapist Assistant Program

 

Let American Career College jump start your career training in their Physical Therapist Assistant Program. ACC offers a 20 month training program that will properly prepare you for positions at physical therapy offices, hospitals, nursing homes, rehabilitation centers and more. You’ll be able to help people with health conditions that prevent them for moving properly or performing normal tasks. You’ll learn how to teach patients specific exercises to improve their mobility and strength as well as perform soft tissue mobilization. The program also teaches you about wheelchair training, transfer training and how to work with a wide variety of patients from infants to the elderly. The program at ACC has a total of 600 clinical hours needed for completion. You’ll take courses in clinical practicum 1 and didactic and laboratory courses.
