Medical Assistants work under the direct supervision of a physician or other licensed healthcare provider. Medical Assistants are typically employed in medical offices, urgent care clinics, outpatient surgery centers, and medical specialties such as pediatrics, internal medicine, urology, dermatology, and cardiology.
This training program is offered at both our Brooklyn and Jamaica/Queens NY campuses, as well as our Phoenix AZ campus. Courses include hands on clinical skills as well as theory classes and students get to receive real-world experience during the internship included as part of this training program.
Nursing Assistant Program
Nursing Assistants provide basic care for patients and residents under the supervision of professional nurses. They are employed in hospitals, nursing care facilities, or long term care facilities in one of the most in demand medical professions in the health care industry. Because of the growing elderly population, many Nursing Assistants will be needed in long-term care facilities. Being a Nursing Assistant means you’re really making a difference in people’s lives during crucial stages of care.
Medical Insurance Billing and Coding Training Program
With our Medical Billing and Coding Online courses, you can complete your training conveniently from home.. You’ll be prepared to take on the responsibility of processing patient data, medical records, and billing both patients and insurance companies. Medical Billing and Coding training offers a career in processing patient health records in a medical practice, hospital, or health care facility. . After a patient receives health care treatment in a medical office, the medical coder converts the services provided into codes so a claim can be created for payment. A medical biller follows the claim to ensure reimbursement for the health care facility. Although certain offices may assign one individual to perform both tasks, Medical Billing and Medical Coding are often two separate jobs. We will also fully prepare you to utilize the new ICD-10 coding system that recently went into effect across the nation.
