About Advanced Technology Institute of Virgina Beach, VA

Located in Virginia Beach, ATI was founded in 1975 and was granted master certification in automotive in 1998. In order to be considered for acceptance you’ll need to have at lead a high school diploma or high school GED. ATI uses Moodle allowing student’s access to their program online. As a student you’ll also have access to their online library for eBooks and tutorials. Mission Statement

Automotive Technology Diploma Program
The automotive technology program offered by Advanced Technology Institute is NATEF/ASE Master Certified. NATEF was founded in 1983 and has a mission to improve the quality of automotive technician training programs nationwide at secondary and post-secondary, public and proprietary schools. Students attending ATI will receive hands-on experience from a shop environment. This will help prepare the students for entry level work once they graduate. As a graduate of this program a student has a possible job track as an automotive service technician, electronic equipment installers or repairer or electrical and electronics installers and repairers including transportation equipment.

 

Commercial Driving Certificate Program
You’ll need a Virginia Driver’s license before you can start the program. The entire program was designed to prepare students to meet the needs of the highway cargo industry. You’ll be taught what is necessary to be prepared for the written part of the CDL exam. You’ll learn about driving safety, transportation of hazardous materials, vehicle maintenance and operating procedures. Graduates of ATI will be exposed to all the driving requirements needed to obtain your Class A CDL license.

 

Diesel Heavy Vehicle Technology Diploma Program
You would be surprised just how many machines from ships to farm equipment run on diesel. The shop at ATI has engines you’ll be working on to give you experience on different sizes. Students will receive both laboratory and classroom training. Learn about the practical aspects of maintenance and repair with emphasis on logical diagnostics procedures and repair methods. You’ll get trained on both automotive and diesel technologies. When completed you’ll have a possible career track as a bus or truck mechanic or diesel engine specialist.

 

Heating, Air Conditioning and Refrigeration Training Program
ATI is fully accredited as an authorized ESCO and Nate Testing center. They offer EPA approved certification. Learn how to work on all heating systems and heating pumps, air conditioners, refrigeration systems for both commercial and residential use. This diploma program by ATI is a great program for students wanting to learn light commercial or residential HVAC. The program prepares students for entry level positions after graduation in the HVAC market.

Maritime Welding Technology Diploma Program
