The Advanced Career Institute (ACI) is classified as a private career school offers short-term training programs in welding, truck driving and bus driving at campus locations throughout the California area in Visalia, Fresno, and Merced, California.
Training programs range from CDL Training, Brush-up Courses, & Welding Technology Programs. Class A CDL Training Programs: The Advanced Career Institute offers a variety of Class A CDL training programs designed to accommodate the schedules of many different students ranging in career goals. Each driving training program will vary in complexity and length. However, instructors with a great deal of experience teach all courses at the Advanced Career Institute. Each course prepares students for certification in each form of driving and upon completion and passage of Class A CDL exams, graduates will be ready to go to work with Advanced Career Institute’s career services department to seek job prospects available with various organizations and employers the institute works in partnership with the three courses in Class A driving currently available through the Advanced Career Institute are:
- Professional Truck Driver
- Advanced Professional Truck Driver
- AG Transportation
Class B CDL Bus Driver Training Programs at the Advanced Career Institute are also designed to accommodate scheduling and career plans of prospective students. These programs also introduce students to the skills and procedures needed to work in the bus-driving field. Each program will help students prepare for examination to obtain a Class B Bus license or commercial bus license.
Two training programs offered under Class B CDL include:
School Bus Driver: This program trains students in everything needed to prepare for certification and endorsements as a Class B bus driver. Students will obtain a Class B bus CDL. Each course includes a range of training approaches including lab, road and range experience, and classroom lectures. Students will also learn safe operating practices, vehicle maintenance, advanced operating practices, basic operations and non-vehicle activities.
Commercial Bus Driver: This program is created to introduce all students to the skills and procedures necessary to function in the commercial bus-driving field. Courses prepare each student to obtain licensure as a Class B bus CDL with additional endorsements. Training programs will cover the necessary skills that qualify individuals for jobs in entry-level commercial bus driving positions as well as the basic practical and operation skills necessary to work in the field.
Financial Aid
The Advanced Career Institute provides financial assistance to all qualifying students through a variety of tailored options. The admissions staff of the Advanced Career Institute works one on one with students to determine varying levels of eligibility for scholarship, grant and loan opportunities. There are more ways than ever to apply for financial aid through the Advanced Career Institute. The institute is committed to helping students pursue their career and licensing needs.

Job Placement Aid
Job placement assistance is granted to each and every student at the Advanced Career Institute. Similarly, graduates will have access to an extensive network of job opportunities and potential employers upon completion of certification programs. The Advanced Career Institute is not only committed to providing straightforward and highly accessible routes to certification programs; they are committed to assisting students establish themselves in the field for which they have received training. While the Advanced Career Institute cannot guarantee a job for each and every graduate, the programs and networking provided by the institute will offer students competitive advantages as they enter the work force. Additionally, Career Services staff of the advanced career institute is dedicated to offering students and graduates all the tools need to assist them on their road to finding employment. Career services provided by staff include assisting students in the search and application processes for current job openings.

Each new job opening is posted on a continuous basis and added to the job board as soon as it is confirmed. This way, students are able to bookmark the web page and check back frequently.
Admissions
When students feel they are ready to get started, they are encouraged to contact the Advanced Career Institute and schedule a campus appointment with one of the school’s official admissions representatives. These representatives will stand ready to answer any concerns or questions prospective students may have. Representatives are also able to help students schedule a tour of any of the three campus locations. Finally, admissions representatives will assists students fill out the Advanced Career Institute’s pre-application forms. For each program, there may be specific admissions criteria and guidelines. For programs subject to specific requirements, admissions representatives are able to explain each process involved in the program in question. Staff will then walk students through the steps necessary to apply for the program and answer all questions students may have. The Advanced Career Institute works to remind all prospective and current students that no student will be denied admission, graduation or other rights and privileges granted by the institute based on creed, national origin, sex, age or religion.
