You can expect to learn these business topics in conjunction with medical topics like pharmacology, physiology, diagnostics, and anatomy. You will also be responsible for completing computer science classes and learning about how to purchase and operate medical equipment. In this profession, it will be important that you stay current on technological trends and that you are extremely computer literate.

While it may vary some depending upon where you choose to obtain your degree, you can expect to complete some classes in a classroom setting and some classes in a hands-on laboratory setting. The amount of classes that you have in one setting or the other will primarily depend upon which type of program you choose to pursue. However, no matter where you attend college you can expect to be required to complete courses such as: human resources management, principles of disease, imaging technology, medical coding, business development, and medical insurance. After obtaining your degree you will be eligible to seek employment in a hospital, a private medical practice, or a clinic.
